The Cleaning Sequences
1. Empty the Rucksack
Remove all contents, detachable compartments, the ZULU™ Assault Pack, and the rain cover before cleaning.
2. Dry Brush Exterior
Use a medium nylon brush to remove dust, mud, and debris from the Cordura® fabric, MOLLE webbing, attachment points, and suspension system.
3. Spot Clean
Clean the exterior using lukewarm water and mild soap with a microfiber cloth or soft brush. Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or machine washing.
4. Clean the Interior
Wipe all compartments, detachable modules, and interior surfaces with a damp microfiber cloth. Remove debris from seams and storage pockets.
5. Hardware Maintenance
Brush dirt from the YKK® zipper tracks, UTX Duraflex® buckles, MOLLE webbing, and quick-release attachment points. Allow all hardware to dry completely before storage.
6. Air Dry
Hang the rucksack and all detachable components separately in a shaded, well-ventilated area until completely dry. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and machine drying.
7. Storage
Store in a cool, dry environment with all compartments detached when possible. Avoid prolonged compression to preserve the suspension system, waist belt padding, and structural integrity of the rucksack.
